Lama Tsultrim Allione is one of the most widely known contemporary Western female teacher of Buddhism. She received her master’s degree from Antioch University in Buddhism/Women’s Studies and was one of the first Western women to be ordained as a Tibetan Buddhist nun. She has been a practicing Buddhist for over thirty years and has taught throughout the world, making great efforts to create teaching methods which facilitate the Western understanding of Buddhism.
We're honoured to introduce Lama Tsultrim Allione as one of the teachers this year.
Do you want to be free? Liberate yourself from fear!
During this years conference on October 6th and 7th, Lama Tsultrim shares a remarkably effective path to inner peace and liberation: 'Feeding Your Demons'.
Feeding your demons rather than fighting them might seem to contradict the conventional Western approach to what assails us, but it turns out to be a remarkably effective path to inner peace and liberation. Demons are our obsessions and fears, chronic illnesses, common problems like depression, anxiety, addiction, compulsive eating, panic attacks; anything that is dragging you down, draining your energy. They are not bloodthirsty ghouls waiting for us in dark places; they are within us, the forces that we fight inside ourselves. And this, we can overcome, we can liberate ourselves to feel inner peace.
At the age of 26, after four years as a nun, Lama Tsultrim returned her monastic vows, married, and raised three children. She is an author, internationally known Buddhist teacher, and the founder and resident lama of Tara Mandala. She is author of 'Women of Wisdom' and 'Feeding Your Demons: Ancient Wisdom for Resolving Inner Conflict', and has just completed her new book, 'Wisdom Rising: Journey into the Mandala of the Empowered Feminine', to be published in May 2018.
She cuts through fear and knows the Mandala of the Enlightened Feminine. Next to her Feeding Your Demons session she will guide an experiential journey into the mandala of your innermost being, where the empowered feminine resides — the essence of your wisdom, vitality, and radiance.
More about Lama
"The method that I call feeding your demons - based on the principles of Chöd - is a simple five-step practice that doesn’t require any knowledge of Buddhism or of any Tibetan spiritual practices. Your demon might be addiction, self-hatred, perfectionism, anger, jealousy, or anything that is draining your energy. To put it simply, our demons are what we fear. As Machig said, anything that blocks complete inner freedom is a demon."
